Yemeni ibex and the woman
It is a rare mountain wild animal and a prominent historical and cultural symbol in Yemen, symbolizing strength, fertility, and glory. The ancient Yemenis took it as a symbol of the god "Othtar" (god of fertility and rain) and has appeared in abundance in inscriptions and rock carvings since the third millennium BC. Currently, it is endangered by overfishing, endemic to the mountains of Hadramawt, Shabwa, Al-Mahra and Marib. If the woman took care of the ibex, it would not be in the direction of extinction.
